Brasserie Constance
Crafts Council

For Fulham Pier

New Public curates a collection of bespoke ceramic objects, functional tableware, and artworks for Chef Adam Byatt’s Brasserie Constance at London’s newest riverside destination, Fulham Pier.

In partnership with the Crafts Council, the national development agency for contemporary crafts in the UK, five ceramicists were commissioned to create objects that quietly elevate the act of dining: ceramic coat tags, signature cocktail drinks vessel, oyster shell glazed soup bowls, hand formed sharing platters, whole chicken clay pot, and Constance Spry inspired vases. These specially designed pieces create a distinct sense of destination, leaving visitors with a memorable impression through their artistic flair.

Curated artworks adorn the restaurant walls, including a commission of two artworks by Amanda Seibæk and acquisitions from Georgia Beaumont.

The collection celebrates the brasserie’s locality and heritage, the district’s relationship with craftsmanship and The Fulham Pottery, while spotlighting local flora, fauna and the restaurant’s unique riverside setting. Brasserie Constance takes inspiration from its namesake, Constance Spry, the trailblazing florist, chef and longtime collaborator of Fulham Pottery.

With special thanks to the Crafts Council, Brasserie Constance, Fulham Pier, and all the makers and artists involved in this special commission.
