In 2024, New Public established ‘Modern Masters’, a free outdoor programme of contemporary art in partnership with London Craft Week. This site-specific annual programme celebrates the role of craftsmanship behind the work of modern masters - since without ancient skills such as welding, casting, glassblowing, and carving, modern art would not exist as it does today.
Chelsea Barracks presented the inaugural edition of the public art initiative ‘Chihuly at Chelsea Barracks’ from May 2024 - January 2025. Showcasing a selection of glass works by renowned American artist Dale Chihuly throughout the 12.8 acre site, the installation welcomed the public to explore Chihuly’s sculptures amongst its architecture and public grounds. An accompanying selection of works was display at The King’s Foundation inside the Garrison Chapel.
