Award-winning multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker Dr. Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian’s Piccadilly Un:Plugged transformed London’s West End into an immersive, cosmic playground - celebrating its nightlife, creative communities, and connection to outer space. Inspired by astronomy, space environmentalism, and the city’s cultural heartbeat, the installation spanned multiple sites including Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, and St James’s Market. Through youth-led workshops, collaborations with leading space agencies and musicians, and large-scale public interventions, the project championed regeneration and the night-time economy. The project was longlisted for the Dezeen Awards 2025 for Best Installation.
